Brennerei Schnitzer – Spirits from Chiemgau
The home of Brennerei Schnitzer is located in the beautiful Chiemgau region. In Traunstein, at the foot of the Alps, the Schnitzer family has been distilling high-quality brandies, spirits, and liqueurs for over 100 years. A family business, now run by the fifth generation, that has passed down its knowledge and skill in the art of distilling from generation to generation, preserving tradition yet open to modern recipes. Such as the Mondino, a bitter aperitif based on an original Italian recipe, which grandfather Hans brought back from his apprenticeship in South Tyrol and which his grandson Maximilian revived.

The highest quality of raw materials, the three generations at Schnitzer agree, are a prerequisite and guarantee for a high-quality spirit.
Therefore, they source organically certified ingredients from the immediate vicinity around Lake Chiemsee whenever possible. The distillates are neither flavored nor sweetened.
The path from fruit to the finished distillate is long: harvesting, washing, crushing, fermenting, distilling, diluting, filtering, storing, bottling. Everything is done by hand with great attention to detail. Finely distilled with perfection down to the last drop.
